I’m Just An Outlaw

My younger wife is commanded to attend

    overnight seminars at luxury resorts.

When she ‘s gone, well, let’s just say,

it’s time to party.  

So, I eat too much and drink  too much

and watch Netflix documentaries about old writers

who ate too much and drank too much.

I bike a couple hours in the heat.

I watch hours after hours of Le Tour de France

with the volume cranked up loud.

Oh, and I stay up late, way late,

like we are talking past 11.  Yeah, that’s right.

I’m just an outlaw when my lady is gone.
