The other reason I asked that question in my mind is I don’t enjoy grinding all that often anymore.
I love live events. Love every minute. I love Tuesdays and Sundays online. It’s just if I play day in and day out now I get bored with it.
I think this will come to pass. I’ve just been coming close and not finishing lately. It’s been a long streak. I’m sure things will be fine, but I’ve realized playing day in and day out gets boring. I’d rather play my best poker every time I show up.
I’m sure once poker picks up I will be addicted again.
My hope is that I could have some savings and play poker part-time in the future. I’m sure I’ll keep writing the Bluff articles, doing Pocketfives Training videos, and updating the blog for a while. I really enjoy those outlets. I also love the lessons.
I really like writing, and I am a poker player, but at some point I’d like to move from writing about poker. I’d like to study other things. I’d like to have a more personal site and personal blog. I’d like to get paid to write about something other than poker.
I’d like to study world religions, languages, and cultures. I’d like to study literature and film. I’d like to write creatively.
I love poker but I can’t do just this forever. I feel blessed to be making consistent money and feeding myself. I just don’t know how a guy does only this. Mad props to the lifelong savants, but that isn’t me.
